Choreographer, director and now actor Farah Khan was probably the first amongst the Bollywood fraternity to wish Manoj Kumar on his Birthday.
Legendary actor Manoj Kumar celebrates his 75th birthday today, without any big celebrations as an ode to superstar Rajesh Khanna and Dara Singh who passed away recently.
Manoj Kumar's fans and family however wished the actor, praying for his health and happiness. The actor was deeply affected by Rajesh Khanna's death. In spite of the rain and old age, he was present for Rajesh Khanna's funeral and last rites.
Known for portraying patriotic roles in his films, the veteran actor was however angry with choreographer, director and now actor Farah Khan for spoofing him in her film 'Om Shanti Om'. Graciously accepting his angst and criticism, Farah personally apologized to the senior actor and things were sorted. The incident in a way got them closer and a friendship was developed.
On Manoj Kumar's 75th birthday, Farah was probably the first member of the Bollywood fraternity to wish him.
Farah said, "Happy Birthday to you Mr.Manoj Kumar. Your films are a constant inspiration. Our friendship is something unexpected and precious." She also added that she has been in constant touch with the actor for the past five years and has not remembered him only for a day.
"Let me tell you all that Manojji and I are in constant touch for the last 5 yrs. All is well between us."
